Dr Kimberly Layfield

Dr. Kimberly Layfield received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Iowa and went on to graduate with honors from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry with clinical experience in primary eye care, ocular disease, and contact lenses.  Her clinical training included externships at a laser eye center, the VA Medical Center in Saint Louis, and private practices in Saint Louis specializing in contact lenses, refractive surgery and ocular disease. Dr. Layfield received the University of Missouri-St. Louis Contact Lens Faculty Clinical Excellence Award upon graduating from optometry school. She completed a Cornea and Contact Lens residency at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry where she gained extensive experience in anterior segment disease, specialty contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management.

As a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), Dr. Layfield has traveled to Coatzacoalcos and Veracruz, Mexico providing eyecare services to those in need. She is a board member of the Saint Louis Optometric Society and holds memberships of the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, and the Heart of America Contact Lens Society.
